The skincare products and trends you’ll see the most in 2023

Overwhelmed by the pandemic coming back and forth, by constant work and staying at home, and by the passing of the months waiting to return to life, as usual, we have focused on taking care of our bodies. Some even bought a moisturizer for the first time, precisely because they began to feel the need for it.

We say cream to give just one example. Because the interest in beauty products for the face has skyrocketed. The reason is simple: they are immediate products, each one specific for a certain type of skin and ideal for those who suffer from intolerances and hypersensitivity. Odourless and easy to use, basically everyone’s dream.

Vitamin C

This already very popular ingredient gives the skin a natural glow and reduces blemishes. Earlier this year, trend research platform Exploding Topics reported that internet searches for “vitamin C serums” have more than doubled in the last two years. And the motivation is simple: impeccable skin, even in front of the PC for a meeting via Zoom.

Chemical peel

Exfoliate without having abrasions all over the face. Brands have focused on this macro-category of beauty, coming up with products that are effective and gentle at the same time. Everyone is trying out the new skincare terminology. Do beta and alpha hydroxy acids, BHAs and AHAs ring a bell?

Goodbye blue light

The different periods of confinement have made us spend much more time in front of our screens, either for work or for the pleasure of watching movies and television series. And while we used to worry about UV rays, today the focus is on the consequences of prolonged exposure to blue light from screens. Free radicals make our cells more easily oxidised, dulling the complexion and accelerating the ageing process. And it is no coincidence that in Google the keyword “Blue Light skincare” has increased by +136%.
