The skin on your body is usually not as sensitive as on your face. Calluses on the feet and elbows, in particular, can take a lot. A body scrub can also make your skin glow and make it more even.
In your Skincare body scrub, you can use the following ingredients:
- Essential Oils
- Sugar, Coarse Salt, Silica, etc.
- Nourishing ingredients such as jojoba oil, argan oil, coconut oil, shea butter or aloe vera
A body scrub is ideal for use in the shower. Massage it into your skin with circular movements to stimulate blood circulation. If you want, you can also use a special exfoliating glove to enhance the exfoliating effect. Use body scrub once a week and apply a nourishing lotion to your skin.
Make your Moisturiser
If the skin on your body is not so Sensitive, you are welcome to use homemade peeling here. We present a simple and beneficial recipe. It is also suitable as a homemade gift for a birthday or Christmas.
You need:
- 100 g coconut oil (alternatively another vegetable oil)
- 100 grams of sugar
- Orange zest from an orange
Here’s how you do it:
- Peel the orange and let the peels dry in the oven at around 50 degrees Celsius.
- Once the shells are completely dry (this is important, so they don’t go mouldy later), grind them finely in a mortar or blender.
- Gently heat the coconut oil in a water bath over low heat. Add the sugar and orange zest and mix evenly.
Once the mixture has cooled down, you can pour it into a clean and tightly sealable screw-top jar. Store the body scrub dry and at room temperature.
Benefits of Homemade moisturizer
- Sugar: The crystals provide the desired peeling effect. By mechanical rubbing, the sugar removes dead skin cells.
- Coconut Oil: Moisturises and nourishes the skin. Coconut oil also has an antibacterial effect and supports an even complexion.
- Oranges: The peels provide a soothing smell. You can also use lemon or grapefruit instead of an orange.
