What is it?
Nowadays skincare is a multi-billion dollar industry all over the world and it is obvious why. Everyone from men to women wants to keep their skin healthy and glowing so they look their best at all times. In today’s day and age, everyone is very attentive about what they eat, put on their skin, use in their shampoo, and so on. You might have seen the named niacinamide on the ingredients list of a product you use. Niacinamide (also knowns as nicotinamide) is a vitamin B3 that can dissolve in water and is very beneficial for our skins. It is a very beneficial ingredient for our skin along with Vitamin C because of its versatility and its ability to work on almost any skin type. Although niacinamide requires more research into it, whatever information we have shows us that it is a safe and effective product to use.
How does it benefit me?
Niacinamide is (as mentioned above) a very versatile product, this means that it can work with other antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Retinol, BHA, and so on. Through consistent use, niacinamide starts having a visible benefit to your skin. It helps produce keratin, the protein that our hair and nails are made up of. It helps reduce inflammation on your skin, which might come from redness or rashes. It helps prevent any fine lines or wrinkles that might be caused by any external damage or just plain stress. It also assists people who have oily skin because it helps regulate our oil glands without drying out our skin. Now we will talk about how niacinamide helps with pores. This is an interesting topic because we know that it helps with pores, but we do not know how it exactly helps us. Meaning research just has not reached the point where we can come to a definite conclusion. Niacinamide helps keep out any debris that might get clogged up in pores. The debris that might be clogged up might cause the pores to widen more to accommodate the garbage. Excessive sunlight might cause our skin to get damaged, and this might result in widened pores as well. Niacinamide helps regulate the size of these pores.
How do I use Niacinamide?
There are several ways of incorporating niacinamide into your skincare routine; there are several serums, toners, exfoliators, creams, and whatnot that have niacinamide as one of their main ingredients listed. One way is to incorporate a product into your morning skincare routine and right before you go to sleep. This way you will consistently be using niacinamide and noticing a steady incline in the health of your skin. Any topical use of niacinamide will be useful.
